Jennifer Lynn King Payne, 49 of Barboursville, Va. passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022. She was born on July 10, 1973 to the late George Walter King, III.

Jennifer was a graduate of Liberty University's Public Administration Program; member of Madison and Sperryville Rescue Squads; and paid firefighter and paramedic for Orange County, Va.

She is survived by her mother, Nancy Virginia Thompson King of Rochelle; husband, Christopher Francis Payne of Barboursville; daughter, Julia Elizabeth Wright of Barboursville; sons, Dustin Andrew Wright and wife Robin of Suffolk, Va. and Christopher Seth Payne of Fort Bragg, N.C.; brother, Andrew King and wife Rachel of BonAqua, TN; niece, Madison McBrayer and husband Andrew; nephew, Anakin King; and grandson, Daniel Westin Wright of Suffolk, Va.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison conducted by Pastor John Heddleston. Interment will be in Culpeper National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 11:30 to 12:30 at the funeral home.
