Janice Shifflett, 82, of Kendall Road, Orange, died on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at her son's residence. Janice was born on January 7, 1940, in Madison County, and was the daughter of the late John Diston Roberts and Alvis Minnick Roberts. She was also predeceased by her husband Carroll Shifflett.

Janice is survived by a son Jeffrey Carroll Shifflett and wife Robin of Orange; four grandchildren Shannon Shifflett and Wendy, Brandon Shifflett and Dawn, Brittney Hall and Devin, and Chastity Taylor and Brooks; thirteen great grandchildren Makenzi Shifflett, Kel Shifflett, Kolt Shifflett, Austin Shifflett, Bradley Hanner, Kyler Hall, Lena Hall, Jettlyn Hall, Makin Hall, Wyatt Taylor, Gunnere Taylor, Henley Taylor, and Ladd Taylor; one great great grandchild Brayden Rickett; one sister Peggy Corbin of Mineral; and two special friends Rose Raines, and Betty Gough.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at the Preddy Funeral Chapel, Orange with Pastor Dwane Pugh officiating. Interment will be held in the Graham Cemetery, Orange. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Preddy Funeral Home, 250 West Main Street, Orange, Va. 22960
