James Floyd "Termite" Watson January 31, 2025

James Floyd "Termite" Watson 63 of Gordonsville passed away Friday, January 31, 2025 at his residence. He was born August 8, 1961 in Gordonsville and was the son of the late James "Jimmy" M. Watson. He is also preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Herndon.

James is survived by his mother, Maybelle Collier Watson; wife, Paula Paynter Watson, daughters, Stephanie Johnson and husband Brandon of Scottsville, Dawn Herndon of Barboursville, son, James Watson and significant other Sarah of Greene, sister, Rebecca Henshaw of Charlottesville; grandchildren, Makayla, Linzey, Ryleigh, Naomi, Montgomery and Cash; and a great-grandchild Waylon.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at New Beginnings PH Church in Barboursville.

Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville is assisting the family.

Services will be held this Saturday, February 8th at 2:00 pm at New Beginnings PH Church in Barboursville. Address is 5431 Old Barboursville Rd. Gordonsville, VA 22942
