Irene Faye Boyd-Smith, 64 of Madison, Va. passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the University of Virginia Hospital. She was born on July 11, 1958 to the late Charles Edward Boyd and Violet McBurnie Boyd. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Doruth.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle Conway Smith; daughters, Brandy Tinder and Amanda Doruth; stepdaughter, Rhonda S. Carpenter and husband Jeff; stepsons, Kyle Gwilliam and Eric Smith and wife Karen; brothers, Charlie Boyd, Richard Boyd and James Boyd; sisters, Linda Wells and Betsy Montgomery; grandchildren, Dillon Wilson, David Miller, Courtney Miller, Darrian Tinder, Violet Tinder, Matthew Smith, Raven Hopson, Rayne Hopson, Gavin Smith, Hannah Carpenter, Josh Carpenter and Bryce.
