Helen Knighton May went to be with our Lord on February 23, 2022. She was the daughter of Effie Southerland Knighton and James A. Knighton; widow of Eugene Elmer May.

Survived by her children; Eugene E. May (Sue) of Orange, Patricia Von Canon and Donna Lohr of Kinston, N.C. and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Helen worked at the Silk Mill and Blue Bells of Orange. She obtained her C.N.A. license in her seventies and devoted her talents to helping others. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed crocheting. She attended Abundant Life Christian Fellowship Church. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A graveside service will be held at Culpeper National Cemetery on March 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.

Preddy Funeral Home in Orange, Va.  is assisting the family.
