Helen Elaine Cady, 75 years old, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 surrounded by her son and sisters. Born in Charlottesville, Va on November 3, 1946, Helen was the daughter of the late Mary & George Compton. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Cady, and sister, one year to the day, Brenda Arnette.

She is survived by her son, Charles (Chuck) Armitage, Jr of Lake Monticello; sisters, Donna Collier of Ruckersville, Va and Judy Hubbard of Providence Forge, Va and long-time companion, Glenn Fitch of Charlottesville.

Helen was employed by The Tavern restaurant for over 30 years. She was that short red-haired server who worked hard to be attentive to her customers. She also loved animals - especially English Bulldogs. She was so excited to have the neighborhood squirrel, cat and groundhog come to her back door daily to be fed with the special peanuts she purchased and had ready for them.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. If so led, please make donations to an animal shelter in her memory.
