Hazel Delores Davis died May 3, 2025, at Dogwood Village of Orange. Born April 24, 1941, in Orange County, to the late William Ernest Davis and Hazel Goodson Davis. She was also predeceased by her husband, Jesse Raymond Davis, Jr., and brothers William E. Davis, Calvin N. Davis, and her twin, E. Delmar Davis.
Delores is survived by her sons, Duane Eddy Ryder and wife, Susan, of Louisa, and Glenn Franklin Ryder and wife, April, of Orange; daughters Sherry Boldridge and husband, John, of Castleton, Sandra McWilliams and husband, John, Gordonsville, and Jackie Harber and husband, Tom, of Barboursville; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by sisters Judy D. Lamb and husband, Linwood, of Barboursville, Shirley R. Davis of Orange, sister-in-law Joan "Pat" Green Davis of Orange, and brother Edward S. Davis of Orange.
Delores was a member of the Gordonsville Baptist Church and retired from Clore's Repair Shop.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the compassionate care provided to Delores by staff of Dogwood Village and to her sister Shirley for her support and care.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 8th, 11:00 am, at Graham Cemetery, Orange, with Rev. Jason Bird officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA, 23060, or the Gordonsville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 926, Gordonsville, VA 22942.
