Harold Morris, Jr.

Harold Morris, Jr., 87 of Ruckersville, Va., passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at his home. He was born on August 11, 1937 to the late Andrew Jackson Morris and Mary Virginia Bickers Morris. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Blanche Lee Shifflett, Elsie Wood, Lorene Morris Shifflett, Frances Virginia Clasing; brothers, William Thomas Morris, Wallace Morris, and Edward Morris.

Harold was a farmer and loved his family and farming.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Shifflett Morris; daughter, Annette Marie Garth and Kenny; son, Gregory Harold Morris and wife Audrey; brother, Charles Wilson Morris and wife Susan; sister, Lois Wilbur Crickenburger; grandchildren, Jessica Marie Garth and Hunter Gregory Morris.

A funeral service will be held at 11: 00 am on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison, Va. with Pastor Eddie Deane officiating. Interment will be in Holly Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.

We would like to thank Hospice of Piedmont and special thanks to Kenny, his chauffeur and his boys that called him Pops, Chip Morris, Mike Payne, and Carol Morris for always finding time for Harold and making him laugh. He truly loved each one of them.
