Glenda Faye Williams

Glenda Faye “Bec” Williams, 67, of Stanardsville, Va., passed away on August 9, 2026, at the University of Virginia Hospital. She was born on December 23, 1958, in Charlottesville to the late Ellis Thurman Knight and Ruth Marie Shifflett Knight. She was also preceded in death by her three babies and her brother, Wayne Neal Knight.

On December 18, 1982, she married the love of her life, Dale Allen Williams. Glenda was known for her macaroni salad. At every special occasion, party, or family get-together, she had to bring macaroni salad by request. Her kindness and compassion to others were talked about by many. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved shopping, but her greatest joy came from being surrounded by her family and friends.

Glenda leaves behind a loving family, including her husband, Dale Allen Williams; her son, Travis Dale Williams, both of Stanardsville; her grandson, Bricen Dale Williams of Kents Store; her brother, James “Jim” Knight and wife Terri; her sister, Reba Knight; and her sister-in-law, Judy Knight, all of Stanardsville.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Pastor Frank Chapman will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
