George A Seymour, Sr January 18, 2025

George A Seymour, Sr of Charlottesville, passed from this life on Saturday, January 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Thomas Harston Shull and Mattie Gertrude Bowling McClelland. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Wilma Seymour and a precious grandchild, Luke.

He is survived by a daughter Brenda Lockwood and her husband Rod of Charlottesville and son, George, Jr and wife Cathy of Scottsville, VA; his grandsons, George R Seymour & wife Deana Seymour, Daniel A Seymour; granddaughter, Bobbi J Weeks; and great-grandchildren, Sean A Seymour, Shelby G Seymour, Sawyer W Seymour, and Willow Weeks.

His love and commitment to his family is evident in the special and close relationships he treasured with his children and grandchildren. We thank and give praise to our loving God for the gift of such a fine example of a father.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Darlington Cemetery in Darlington, MD, and officiated by Rev. Dennis Gilbert. Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville will be assisting the family with arrangements.
