Frances Ann Settle

Frances Ann Bledsoe Settle, age 90, passed away on November 14, 2025, at her home in Orange. She was born April 6, 1935, and was the daughter of the late Willie Cephus Bledsoe and Josephine Suder Bledsoe. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd B. Settle Sr.; her sisters, Dorothy “Pete” Bendele, Willie Mae Inskeep, and Janette Attkisson; her brother, William “Billy” Bledsoe; and her great-grandson, Malachi Weakley.

Frances is survived by daughters, Darcey Fincham, Shirley Blackwell; sons, William “Billy” R. Jenkins, Lloyd B. Settle, Jr. (Catina); grandchildren, Logan Fincham (Jenna), Cody Fincham (Kaley), Tucker Garrett (Lauren), Justin Garrett, Amanda Jenkins, Ashley Weakley (Joey), Jordan Jenkins, Dustin Settle, Kortnei Settle; thirteen great-grandchildren and one sweet angel to be born in February.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, at 11:00 am at Preddy Funeral Chapel in Orange. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. There will be a reception after the service at the Orange Baptist Church with interment to follow at 2:00 pm, Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper, 822 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Love Outreach Pantry, 252 Blue Ridge Drive, Orange, VA 22960.
