Evelyn Hill Scott, 100, born October 16, 1924, at "Berry Hill" in Orange Co. VA, daughter of the late Rowland F. Hill, Jr., and Josephine W. Hill, passed away Saturday, February 8, in Gainesville, VA. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank G. (Rev) Scott, II, a daughter, Josephine, and a brother, Rowland F. Hill, III. She is survived by a son, Jim; daughter-in-law, Beth; two grandsons, Garrett and Joe; four nephews and a niece.
She was a graduate of St. Margaret's School in Tappahannock, VA, Peace Jr. College in Raleigh, NC, and Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA. She was a lifetime member of Orange Presbyterian Church, and a loving and supporting daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Memorial service will be held at a later date at Orange Presbyterian Church, with interment in Graham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Orange Presbyterian Church or Virginia Headwaters Council BSA.
