Ernest Franklin Woodward

Ernest Franklin Woodward, 57 of Glade Spring, Va. passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025 at UVA Hospital. He was born on November 19, 1968 to the late Eppie Daniel Woodward. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Charles, George, Jesse, and Bill Woodward and sisters, Ellen Woodward, Ann Haun, and Eleanor Humphrey.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Jean Fincham Woodward; wife, Wendy Marie Campbell Woodward; daughters, Katrina Marie Shiflett and husband Caleb and Amber Lauren Trout and husband Joshua Trout; brother, Doug Fincham and wife Sharon; sister, Brenda Ness; grandchildren, Landon Eric Shiflett, Mark Allen Shiflett, and Jeramiah Trout; and many nieces and nephews.
He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles’ fan and loved family above all else.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Madison Memorial Gardens with Rev. Miles VanSkike officiating.
