Elizabeth Jean Cook-Trout

Elizabeth Jean Cook-Trout, 81, passed away on November 4, 2025, at Dogwood Village in Orange. Born in Rainelle, West Virginia, she is the daughter of the late O. Carl and Chloe Hizer Cook. She is also predeceased by her husband, Vernon James Trout.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy (David) Lynn LaPole of Louisa, Ralna (Mark) Jean Horner of Orange, and Sherry (Randy) Kay Trout-Van Dyke of Christiansburg; her sons, James (Sandra) Anthony Trout of Culpeper and Perry (Kim) Dwayne Trout of Unionville; her grandchildren, Andrew and Evelyn Van Dyke, Cassidy Brackett, Chase Hughes and Jeremy Provenzo; and her great-grandchild, Kayla Horton.

A service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Preddy Funeral Home – Orange Chapel, with interment following at Oakwood Cemetery in Unionville. Randy Van Dyke will be officiating the service.
