Edward William Gibson, 86, of Keswick, Virginia, passed away on November 1, 2025, at his home.
Born on October 30, 1939, he was the son of the late Earsel and Sophie Gibson. In addition to his parents, his is preceded in death by his two grandsons, Robert Lewis Gibson and Norman Robert Dodson, Jr.; and his brother, Frank “Jakie” Gibson.
Edward is survived by his wife, Mildred “Millie” Gibson; his daughters, Teresa Freix, Stafanie Dodson, and Sandy Gibson-Conner; his brother, Walter “Cracker” Gibson; his sister, Helen “Lizzie” Long; his grandchildren, Justin Coleman, Edward Coleman, Telisa Dodson, and Oliver Conner III; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2025, at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville.
