Dorothy Raynor Taylor

Dorothy Raynor Taylor, 91 of Stanardsville, passed away June 9, 2026, at the Hospice House in Charlottesville.

Dorothy was born on January 13, 1935, to the late Russell and Margaret Collier Raynor. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lieut Taylor, her brothers James Raynor, David Raynor, Richard Raynor, and Albert Raynor; and sisters, Lucille Smith, Esther Beahm, and Helen Shoemaker.

She is survived by her daughter Evelyn Deane; sons Kim Taylor and Barry Taylor; 4 grandchildren, Kristie, Michele, Jeannie, and Kimberly; and 6 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kristopher, Ainsley, Zander, Cohen, and Levi.

The memorial service will be Monday, June 15th, at 6 p.m. at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Stanardsville Public Cemetery on Celt Road, where she will be laid to rest, next to her husband.
