Donald David Detwiler, 92 of Orange, VA, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Dogwood Village in Orange, VA. He was born on December 5, 1929 in Clifton, VA to the late William Edward Detwiler and Ruth Adelaide Wells Detwiler. He was also preceded in death by his son, David Edward Detwiler; sister, Waneta D. Curtis; and, the love-of-his-life, Phyllis Hollaway.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna Lee Detwiler Quarton (Donald) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, his granddaughter, Chelsea Anne May (James), and great-grandson, Gabriel Kaine May of Southport, NC. He is survived by daughter, Dana M. Croson. He is also survived by bonus daughters, Cindy Cerrigione of Bloomfield, CT and Faye Henry of Front Royal, VA and bonus son, Kenneth W. Hollaway of Broadlands, VA.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Clifton Cemetery in Clifton, VA. Pastor Justin Franich will officiate. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison, VA.
