Diane Deane Bowling

Diane Deane Bowling, 74, of Richmond, VA, died on June 29, 2026.

Born July 1st, 1951, in Charlottesville, VA, she was the daughter of Nicholas Edward Deane and Eleanor Pauline Deane.

Diane was a proud graduate of the nursing program at Grace Hospital. She had a long and rewarding career in nursing. Diane loved spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved dog Boo.Diane is survived by her sons Eric Michael Weiss, Steven Andrew Weiss, her daughter Rebecca Weiss Howell, her son in law Kendall Lloyd Howell, her grandchildren Jeffrey Oliver Howell, Anna Olivia Howell, Owen Andrew Weiss, her sister Janice Deane Brown, her nephews Christopher Wayne Brown, and Nicholas Page Brown.

Special thanks to the caregivers at August Healthcare, the doctors at St. Mary’s Hospital, and her great friends Susie Poole and Jodie Pettaway.

Services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, July 6th, 2026, at Preddy Funeral Home, 250 West Main Street, Orange, Virginia 22960, with a viewing one hour prior. Interment will follow at Graham Cemetery, with Eric Weiss, Steven Weiss, Kendall Howell, Jeffrey Howell, Chris Brown, and Nick Brown as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Richmond S.P.C.A.
