Dennis Elmo Powell, 77 of Gordonsville, died Tuesday June 27, 2023 at his residence. Born December 31, 1945 in Albemarle County, he was the son of the late James Albert Powell, Sr. and Alice Virginia Wood Powell. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carroll Wade Powell, Bryant Lane Powell and a sister, Doris Marie Gardner.

Dennis is survived by his sister, Alma Gertrude Mills of Charlottesville, his brother, James Albert Powell, Jr. and wife Eunice of Waldorf, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be private.

Preddy Funeral Home of Gordonsville is handling arrangements.
