Darlene Ladd Carpenter, 68 of Charlottesville, Va. passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in Stanardsville, Va. She was born on September 19, 1956 to the late Joseph Ladd and Grace Dean Smith. She was preceded in death by her brother, Preston Ladd.

She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Carpenter; sons, Justin Carpenter and Travis Cash and wife Kathy; sisters, Gail Parrish and husband Sheppard, Glenda Moore and husband Brent, Wanda Rock; brothers, Dennis Ladd and wife Linda and Timmy Ladd; and grandson, Trevor Cash.

A private interment will be held at a later date.
