Daniel “Danny” Marshall Shotwell, 64 of Syria, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at Autumn Care in Madison. He was born on August 9, 1961 to the late Hall Thompson Shotwell and Sarah Laverne Utz Shotwell. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Marie Shotwell.
He is survived by his daughter, Brittany Weakley and husband Benj Morris ; son, James “Jamie” Marshall Shotwell; sisters, Gail Shotwell and Connie Knighting and husband Joey; grandchild, Jordyn Morris.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Criglersville Cemetery conducted by Pastor Dan Yowell.
