Claude Thomas Taylor Sr., 82, of Claudes Drive, Rhoadesville, died on Tuesday, January 18, 2021 at the Cedars Health Care in Charlottesville. He was born on January 29, 1939 in Chatham Hill, VA . and was the son of the late Lundy Sanders Taylor and Ruth Ann Taylor. He is also predeceased by his wife Mary Barnett Taylor; a daughter Imma Mae Corbin; two brothers; David Taylor , and Lundy Taylor Jr. and one sister, Mildred Wilson. He was a pipe welder by trade and a member of the Steam Fitters Union. He was an avid hunter and loved gardening.

Claude is survived by two daughters Claudia D. O'Dell and husband Carter of Idamay, WV, and Patricia "Trish" Todd and husband David of Gilbert, SC; one son Claude T. "CT" Taylor Jr. of Rhoadesville; thirteen grandchildren Thomas Todd, Megan O'Dell, Victoria Corbin, Carter O'Dell Jr, Lauran Corbin, Savannah Corbin, David O'Dell, Christopher O'Dell, Louis O'Dell, Lindsay Nguyen, Claude Taylor III, Lundy Taylor, and Jacob Taylor; and one sister Zelma Mast and Aaron of TN.

A memorial funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Preddy Funeral Chapel, Orange. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 2:00 before the memorial service. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family.
