Christine Elenor Dowell

Christine Elenor Dowell, 79, of Gordonsville, Virginia, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025.
Born on October 23, 1946, in Gordonsville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Herman L. Dowell and Elenor Schlosser Dowell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Williams L. Dowell.
Christine was kind to everyone she met, and would help anyone who needed it. She loved her cats. She was a member of Gordonsville United Methodist Church and especially loved being involved with their Fun Lunch Bunch program.
Christine is survived by her Nephews, Neil Dowell and Anthony W. Haddon; her sister, Sharon D. Lambert; her great-nephews, Derryk Haddon, Brett Haddon, and Park Haddon; her great-great-niece and nephew, Maryn Sophie Haddon and Joseph Haddon; and her best friend, Melissa Ripley.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Maplewood Cemetery in Gordonsville.
