Chester Albertus Copperthite, Jr. 72 of Orange, VA passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 at his residence. He was born January 13, 1950 in Arlington, VA and was the son of the late Chester Albertus Copperthite, Sr. and Elizabeth Inez Miller Copperthite. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Copperthite.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Lee Stevenson Copperthite; son, Chester A. Copperthite, III and wife Jennifer of Huntsville, AL; sisters, Elizabeth Slaughter and husband Bill of Ashburn, VA, Ruth Funkhouser and husband Michael and Virginia Sutherland and husband Mark all of Midland, VA; daughter, Shelley Meadows and husband Rick of Locust Grove, VA; grandchildren, Andrew R. Copperthite, Alex J. Copperthite, Amanda L. Meadows and Bradley M. Meadows and beloved pets, Sami and Austin.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
