Carolyn Faye Gentry, 69 of Ruckersville, Va. passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 in Charlottesville, Va. She was born on October 23, 1953, loving daughter of John Casper Knight and the late Corine Frances Breeden Knight. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Casper Knight, Jr.
Carolyn loved her computer games, card games, movies, and family.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Douglas Gentry, Sr.; three children, Kim (Glenn) Shifflett, Doug Gentry, Jr. (Lisa), and Ashley (Randy) Ferris; sister, Tammy Gilbert and husband Greg of Ruckersville; brother, Alvis Knight and wife Patsy of Ruckersville; grandchildren, Brett (Lauren) Shifflett, Austin Shifflett, Kristin Shifflett, and Kelsi Gentry.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 29, 2023 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison.
