Carolyn Kay Dodson Smith

Carolyn Kay Dodson Smith, 78 of Madison, Va. passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Greene Acres Rehab. and Nursing. She was born on July 5, 1946 to the late Woodrow Dodson and Edna Mauck Dodson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy William Smith; brother, Carlton Dodson; sisters, Betty Smith, Beverly Griffin; Pauline Leonard, and Gloria Pearson.

She retired as a seamstress from Wrangler in Madison.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Carol Lussier; son, Michael William Smith; sisters, Marie Hensley, Margaret Dodson, and Sonja Dodson; grandchildren, Shelby Smith. Stephanie Mahalick, David Mahalick; great-grandchildren, Payton Douglas, Ava Douglas, Trinity Clore, Serenty Mahalick, and Oliver Mahalick.

A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Madison Memorial Gardens with Bob Slaven officiating.
