In Loving Memory of Carl “Junior” Jackson Breeden Jr.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carl Jackson Breeden Jr., who passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at his home in Culpeper, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on February 8, 1958, to Carl Jackson Breeden, Sr. and Laura Lamb Breeden. He was also preceded in death by his beloved other half, Traci Atkins; sons Anthony (Tony) Breeden and Carl Shane Breeden; and sisters Rosemary Hardin and Laura Jones.
Carl was a devoted father, grandfather, family man, and friend whose kindness, strength, and love touched everyone who knew him.
Carl’s greatest joy in life was his family. He especially cherished the time he spent with his beloved grandchildren: Savana Fincham, Karly Breeden, Robbie Breeden Jr., Jordan Breeden, and great-grandson Kain Anthony. They were the light of his life, and he loved each of them deeply. His love, guidance, and the memories he created with them will be treasured forever.
Carl will be remembered for his caring heart, his unwavering love for those closest to him, and the many lives he touched throughout his lifetime. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, strength, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He leaves behind his son Robbie Allen Breeden Sr; a special niece, Michele Smith and her husband Chris Smith and daughters Ava and Kayla; his brother Michael Breeden and wife Christine; and brother-in-law Johnny Jones; along with many nieces, nephews, family, and many special friends who will miss him dearly and will forever carry his memory with them. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing he was surrounded by the people who loved him most in his final moments.
Rest in peace, Pops. Your love will never be forgotten, and your memory will live on forever in the hearts of your family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Hopewell Methodist Church Cemetery in Lignum with Pastor Josh Shifflett officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison.
