Caleb Lee Maupin

Caleb Lee Maupin, 22, of Gordonsville, went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2026. He was born September 21, 2004, in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Caleb loved his family and friends deeply and had a heart as big as they come. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and cared deeply for the people around him. He loved spending time fishing and especially loved his dogs, Ace and Ivy. Caleb will be remembered for his big heart, his love for those closest to him, and the special place he held in the lives of so many.

He is survived by his mother, Heather Wright and her husband, Brent Wright; his father, Rusty Maupin; his sisters, Kaylee Maupin, Cameron Welch (Jacob), Courtney Wright (Spencer), Layna Maupin, and Lillian Maupin; his brothers, Mason Wright and Grayson Wright; and his grandparents, Robin and Mike Clatterbuck, Donald and Suzanne Toms, Tina Maupin, Perry Maupin, and Iris Wright.

He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, David Bourne and Thomas Wright; and his uncles, Brandon Bourne and Timothy Shinaberry.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville, with Pastor David Morris officiating. The family will gather privately from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Gordonsville.
