Betty Jean Fincham Woodward

Betty Jean Fincham Woodward, 94, of Madison, Va., passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Culpeper UVA Hospital. She was born on November 20, 1931, to the late Henry W. Fincham and Lucille Alice Hawkins Fincham Woodward. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eppie Daniel Woodward; daughter, Eleanor Virginia Woodward; son, Ernest Franklin Woodward; brothers, James E. Fincham, Nelson William Fincham, and Henry Wilson Fincham; sisters, Evelyn F. Jenkins, Catherine F. Jenkins, and Ruby Francis.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Woodward Ness of Brandy Station, Va., and her son, Douglas Milton Fincham and wife, Sharon of Elkwood, Va., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison, with Dave Jacobs officiating. Interment will be in Etlan Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
