Betty Moore Canfield

Betty Moore Canfield, 92, of Stevensburg, VA, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Autumn Care of Madison, VA. She was born on December 31, 1931, to the late John Howard Moore and Cora Elizabeth Russell Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Denzil Glenn Canfield; brother, Jack Dempsey Moore; and sisters, Pauline Burkholder, Margaret Robertson, Rosie Self, and Patricia Fisher.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynette Marie Wells and husband Ralph, and Glenda Lee Gum and husband Randy; grandchildren, Ralph "Buddy" Wells, Jr., Tonya Lynn Mullins and husband Allen, Kady Lee Fowler and husband Garrison; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with Pastor John Huelskoetter officiating.   Interment will be in Madison Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
