Bessie Corbin Nicholson, 97 of Orange, Va., passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Dogwood Village in Orange, Va. She was born on May 10, 1924 to the late Wesley Corbin and Adeline Corbin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Stanley Nicholson; brothers, John W. Corbin, Daniel Lee Corbin, and Everett Corbin; sisters, Lillie Virginia Corbin, Ella Rose Nicholson, Essie Corbin, Lois Corbin, and Mary     Frances Dodson.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris Hutcheon of Winchester; sons, William Corbin, Roger Lee Corbin, Earl W Barto, all of Madison and David M. Corbin of Culpeper ; sisters, Margaret Hitt of Orange, and Betty Tharpe of Orange; a brother, Marvin Corbin of Orange; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with Pastor Johnny Hawkins officiating. Interment will be in Bethsaida Methodist Church Cemetery in Brightwood, Va. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
