Benjamin Daniel Deane

Benjamin Daniel Deane, 64 of Ruckersville, Va., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 in his home after a short bout of AML. He was born April 17, 1960 to the late Benjamin (Bucky) Edison Deane Jr. and Shirley Ann Haney Deane.

Danny was a lifetime resident of Greene County. He was a mechanic by trade, but enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, trapping, as well as, grilling and cooking in black pots for family and friends. He also used his mechanical skills to participate in demolition derbies, receiving several trophies. His special place was in his garage, whether he was working on vehicles or sitting by the wood stove enjoying time and a cold beer with close friends who visited often. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Sherrill and many family members, some he considered brothers.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Preddy Funeral Home in Madison. Interment will be private.
