Barbara Ann Hensley

Barbara Ann Hensley 85 of Gordonsville passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026 at her residence. She was born April 28, 1941 in Charlottesville and was the daughter of the late Ezekiel Melvin Breeden and step-father Harl Demetrius Cosner and mother, Ressie Mae Dean Cosner. She was also preceded in death by her husband Leroy Pete Hensley and Daughter Anita Karen Hutchinson.

She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Gay Rutherford, Rita Faye Fox, Julie Ann Hensley all of Gordonsville and Wanda Lee Thomas (Eddie) of Louisa, son, Martin Henry Hutchinson (Tonya) of Orange; grandchildren, Brian Lee Thomas (Cassidy) , Adam Wheeler Buck (Megan), Tiffany Nichole Fox, Crystal Dawn Thomas Fortier, Jennifer Ann Thomas, Elijah Haley Hutchinson, Charlie Mackenzie Hutchinson, Jude Alexander Hutchinson; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville with interment in Graham Cemetery conducted by Rev. Jason Bird. The family will receive friends Monday, from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
