Annie Payton Breeden

Annie Payton Breeden, 84, of Unionville died on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Dogwood Village of Orange. She was born on August 29, 1941, in Orange County, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Wilson Howard Payton and Ethel Lee McCauley Peyton. She is also predeceased by her husband, Melvin Ray “Sam” Breeden; two brothers, Jack Payton and Charlie McCauley; and three sisters, Gladys P. Lancaster, Irene Hardy, and Nancy Watson.

Annie is survived by a sister, Pearl P. Blakley of Rhoadesville, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00 A.M., graveside at the Graham Cemetery, Orange. Benny Blakley will officiate. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family.
