Anna Marie Leathers Waugh

Anna Marie Leathers Waugh, 90 of Culpeper, Va., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 17, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 10, 1936 to the late Chester Louis Leathers, Sr. and Jessie Woodrow Smith Leathers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Woodyard Waugh, Sr.; her son, Larry Wayne Knighting; and her daughter, Judy Knighting Partlow; her brother, Chester Louis Leathers, Jr., Leory Leathers; and sister, Roberta Clift.

She is survived by her sisters, Virginia Belle Dodson, Gloria Knighting, Betty Edwards and husband Jesse; grandchildren, Dustin Tharp; great-granddaughter, Leila Tharp-Fuentes.

The family wishes to thank all her exceptional caregivers, Deborah Morgan, Doris Fincham, Pam Johnson, Pat Beales, and Teresa Tucker. Bonnie Rockwell was her good friend and roommate.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 23, 2026 at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with Pastor Ethan Stanley officiatiing. Interment will be in Thoroughfare Bible Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
