Wayne Baker, 81 of Louisa, died Saturday October 30, 2021 at his residence. Born September 4, 1940, he was the son of the late Jink Baker and Eva Justus Baker. He was also preceded in death by his wife Stella Mae Baker, two daughters, Polly Baker, Sheila, a brother, Dale Baker, and two sisters, Florence and Laura. Mr. Baker ran his own construction company for many years, he loved to hunt and fish and he enjoyed camping in Bath County with his family and friends. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and he will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Wayne is survived by a son, Jeffrey Wayne Baker, a brother, George Baker, a sister, Nancy Fugitt, his granddaughter, Chelsey Marie Baker, three great-grandchildren, Blake Albert Cochran, Ownen Edward King, Hannah Reyenne King and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday November 4, 2021 at Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville. A visitation will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday November 6 at Virginia Funeral Home in Grundy and a Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday at Virginia Funeral Home.
