Eugene Angus Hoffman March 28, 2025
Eugene Angus Hoffman 89 of Gordonsville passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 in Orange. He was born February 9, 1936 to the late Herbert Angus Hoffman and Birdine Moyers Hoffman. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Reed Hoffman.
Eugene retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation as a supervisor, retired farmer and was U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a life member of the Gordonsville United Methodist Church where he served as Chair of the Church Council and a Trustee.
He is survived by a daughter Ginger Garton and husband Chuck of Gordonsville; sons, Andy Hoffman and wife Marsha of Rhoadesville, Jeff Hoffman and wife Shelia of Gordonsville; brother, Carroll Hoffman and wife Lucille of Grandy, NC; sisters, Anne Winn of Gordonsville, Dinah Arnott of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Ben and Sarah Hoffman of Rhoadeville, Brittany Garton and husband, Dani of Gordonsville, Julie Trimmer and husband Aaron of Dinwiddie; great grandchildren, Maya Garton and Adalyn Garton both of Gordonsville.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday March 30, 2025, in Maplewood Cemetery.
