He loved history and always took the time to expand his knowledge in stamps, birds, and sharks (teeth). He loved making leather medicine bags, dream catchers, and leather knife holders. In his younger years he enjoyed ocean fishing, camping with the family, and traveling up the mountain of Skyline Drive. He loved taking his wife and kids to Colonial Beach, V.A to look for shark teeth and ate at Wilkerson's Seafood. Jim loved tending to the garden and flowers. He taught close family members his strawberry preserves making and handed down his favorite recipes. Jim thoroughly enjoyed hosting cookouts with family and friends. He was the type of person that you could always count on being the light of the room. Jim’s favorite bird was the American Eagle and loved collecting eagle figurines.
