Debbie spent the better part of her life working in the medical field and spent the last decade in various departments within the UVA Health System in Charlottesville. In her free time, she loved going for motorcycle rides with her husband and spending time at the beach - Nags Head was her favorite. Her biggest joy in life was when she became a “Nana” and could spend time with her four precious grandchildren.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Clarence (Pete) Sparks of Louisa, Va; her daughters, Leanne Blake of Orange, Va and Kimberly Yager (Kris) of Mineral, Va; her son, Jonathan Blake of Louisa, Va; her two step children, Rose Last (Eric) of Orange, Va and Josh Sparks (Ashley) of Orange, Va; her four grandchildren: Magnolia, Meadow, Dahlia and Beau Yager of Mineral, Va; her four step grandchildren: Brandon and Katherine Last and Kara and Klay Sparks (all of Orange, Va); her mother, Priscilla Lane Ellis of Louisa, Va; her three siblings: Teresa Browning (Rob) of Montross, Va, Tammy Clatterbuck (Rick) of Cleveland, Va and Patti Corsaro (Tommy) of Rixeyville, Va; her aunt known as her second momma, Judy Minor (Eli) of Louisa, Va; and her numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Debbie was preceded in death by a son, Justin Allen Blake; father, Delmar Earl Ellis; paternal grandparents, Oscar Barty Ellis and Martha Anne Mabe Bolden Ellis; maternal grandparents, Raymond Preston Trail and Kitty Mae Trail; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Following Debbie's wishes, Preddy Funeral Home in Gordonsville, Va is providing her cremation services and the family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
