Annette Louise Jackson was born April 5,1953 in Uno, Virginia to the late Louis Daniel Robinson and the late Martha Frances Tinsley. Louise departed this life for eternal rest on April 27, 2025, at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA, surrounded by her devoted family. Louise was educated in the Madison County school system. It was there that she met her high school sweetheart and soul mate, Michael Van Jackson, Sr. In 1970 they moved to Washington DC and were united in marriage. They were blessed with one son, Michael Van Jackson, Jr. Louise was employed at General Motors in Maryland for 33 years until she retired. She was a valued employee in the Finance Services Department, and she received many recognitions for her expertise and stellar service. On March 21,1979, Louise gave her life to the Lord and never looked back. She joined the Northeast Holy Trinity Church, where she faithfully served. She was President of the Holiness League Choir, she served on the Usher Board, and taught Sunday School. First Lady and Bishop Jackson became a dynamic duo at the Northeast Holy Trinity Church, and for 18 years they were committed to the ministry. Together they did nursing home ministry, van ministry, prison ministry, and served in whatever capacity they were needed. They were at church for every service, weekends and weekdays. When Bishop Jackson became the Youth Pastor at Holy Trinity, she graciously opened the doors of their home as a safe haven for the youth, and she had a special way of making them feel at home. In 1994 First Lady Jackson graduated from Jericho Bible College with honors and that same year she received her license as a Missionary. Then, she became a licensed Evangelist in 1996 and was ordained in 2002. On April 7,1996 Bishop and First Lady Jackson opened the doors of Emmanuel Christian Center (ECC) with the vision, “Saving Souls & Building Leaders.” First Lady evangelized throughout the community, leading many souls to the Lord. She also oversaw the Women’s Ministry of the Fellowship. Bishop and First Lady Jackson worked together in ministry for 43 years. First Lady Jackson never came down off of the wall. She continued to evangelize and spread the love of Jesus even at the dialysis center. She became a caregiver for one of ECC’s members, providing care as if taking care of her own mother. Even at times when she wasn’t feeling her best, First Lady continued to provide care. First Lady Jackson was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchild affectionally called her “Nana.” She loved them dearly and would do anything for their well-being and success. She also loved her pets and always encouraged others to get a dog. She will also be remembered for her love of fine jewelry and designer handbags. However, no matter how much she loved these items, she was apt to give them away and put a smile on another woman’s face. First Lady Jackson will be remembered as a giver; giving her all to God, the ministry, her family, and others. To cherish her memory and keep her legacy alive she leaves: her devoted husband of 55 years, Bishop Michael V. Jackson, Sr; one son, Michael V.
